Hannah Montana's Anna Maria Perez de Tagle Rounds Out Godspell Cast

Disney Channel star Anna Maria Perez de Tagle and George Salazar have joined the cast of the upcoming revival of Godspell, led by Hunter Parrish. Performances begin October 13, followed by opening night on November 7, at the Circle in the Square Theatre. Daniel Goldstein directs.

Perez de Tagle is best known for her role as Ashley on TV's Hannah Montana. She has also appeared in the Disney Channel films Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, as well as the 2009 remake of Fame. Her regional theater credits include Cinderella, Bugsy Malone, The Wiz and The King and I. Perez de Tagle opened for the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato during their 2010 North American tour.

Godspell marks the Broadway debut for Salazar. He has previously toured with Spring Awakening.

The cast of Godspell also features Uzo Aduba, Celisse Henderson, Morgan James, Telly Leung, Lindsay Mendez and Wallace Smith as Judas.

The revival marks the first Broadway production of Godspell since its original run transferred from off-Broadway to Broadway more than 30 years ago, closing at the Ambassador Theatre on September 4, 1977 after 527 performances. A 1973 feature film version starred Victor Garber as Jesus.
